001 | Reflect :: Louisville, Kentucky, June 2010

In 2010 I was pulled onto a project in Cincinnati, Ohio. The office was in the Central Business District, and everyday during lunch, my coworker and I would walk across the Purple People Bridge to have lunch in Kentucky. One weekend I decided to stay in town and explore, and ended up in Kentucky instead. We arrived late on a Sunday, and most establishments were already closed. While wandering around town, I found this gorgeous parabolic mirror in front of the Louisville Science Center, and of course, had to take a selfie 😛

By definition, a parabolic mirror is a reflective surface used to collect or project energy, and focusing the energy to increase its strength. I thought this would be a fitting start to my project, where I hope to reflect on the memories I’ve collected over the years and hopefully building a bit more understanding of the world and myself through the experience.
