I found this on a random walk in Bruges, Belgium and it cracked me up. Then I found it on sale on Amazon but can’t think of a place in my house that he would be comfortable in. Here’s the description from Amazon:
Ottmar Horl is a German artist with radical, avant-garde art concepts. He is known for his large-scale public art projects where he features multiples of his sculptures. Hörl loves to collaborate with specialists from different fields and has worked with portrait photographers, professional athletes, pilots, sharp shooters, and invited everyone living in a particular town to collaborate. His demand for public attention leads the viewer to appreciate his playful style as he is also expressing his social commentary which leaves the viewer gratified and a little more educated. He particularly enjoys using gnomes as a sociological phenomenon that originated in European mythology. Horl presented “Rolling Change” in Seligenstadt, Germany as a sculptural project which featured a total of 1,000 blue garden gnomes flipping the bird. The gnome became a part of an artistic concept of communication in public spaces He later had a 4,000 gnome installation in Max-Josef-Platz in Munich. This Gold Middle Finger Gnome is a part of modern day art history and will add a playful edge to your home! It is also available in red, yellow, white, black, gold & silver. Made in Germany.
