114 | Sunset :: San Francisco, USA, 2008

In 2008 I was traveling to the Bay Area for work. Every Monday morning I would get on the 6AM flight, and fly back Thursday evening. Often I would stay the weekend, wander around the city, make new friends, reacquaint with old ones. The project was unpredictable and I never quite knew which week was going to be my last, so I did my best to make the most of my time. I hit all the tourist spots of course, and all the museums, and in time I even made it to all the festivals. I always chose the window seat, so I could watch the city disappear into the clouds bit by bit. On a rare day when Carl didn’t envelope the city and I happen to be leaving around twilight, I saw the city bathing in this warm ember glow, and started to miss it. Perhaps that was the moment I decided it would be my new home.
