I booked an Airbnb near Donegal for our last night in Ireland. We were on a road trip, time was limited and the roads were windy, and it felt quite rushed. From the photos, the house looked pretty close to the beach, but when we got there, we realized that the house was literally sitting on the beach, and this was the view from our bedroom window.
It was close to dinner time, and instead of driving into town, we decided to not waste the amazing location and had an impromptu picnic on the beach. The rocks weren’t super comfortable and little sea critters scattered when we tried to sit down, but having a private dinner on a beach while watching the sunset was a lovely ending to our time in Ireland.
